Airbits Terms of ServiceOur terms of service are generally the same as those used by most Internet service providers. Customers are not allowed to cause or allow anything that interferes with the proper operation of our network. Customers are not allowed to resell the service or to share it outside the premises where it is installed. Customers are not allowed to use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in any attempt to compromise the security of any system accessed through our service. Customers are prohibited from generating cumulative volumes of traffic that in our judgement are extreme compared with the average volume of traffic for the customer's level of service. In particular, a customer is not allowed to indefinitely saturate the use of the connection. Customers should be assured that excessive traffic is rarely seen on our network, and when it occurs it is almost always unintentional. We have hotels, website servers, telecommuters, campgrounds, and other high-volume users on our network and they do not generate traffic volumes that are a problem for us. Currently, we consider the cumulative monthy traffic to be excessive if it exceeds 10 Gbytes for basic service accounts, 50 Gbytes for standard accounts, and 200 Gbytes for premium accounts. Special problems can be caused by file sharing software that some customers install and use. This software can run out of control, distributing files requested by other users around the world 24 hours a day. Indeed, it often robs all of the given customer's allocated bandwidth, not to mention inviting copyright infringement actions by media companies. When we see excessive volumes of traffic typical of this kind of software, we impose traffic limits designed to limit the file-sharing volume and thus protect the traffic of the given customer as well as others who share the use of our network. Customers are allowed to operate services or servers as long as such operation does not constitute reselling our service and does not interfere with or impede the operation of our network or otherwise conflict with our terms of service. We endeavor to treat customers with courtesy and respect at all times and under all conditions, and we expect to be treated likewise. We expect customers to cooperate with our attempts to maintain our network. We expect to be allowed to access equipment located at the customer's premises in order to service it, under mutually agreeable circumstances. |
